Childcare policies and expectations

Nursery Care is available in the preschool room on Sundays before, during, and after worship (from 9:30am-11:30am) for children in Kindergarten or below in age. Parents/Guardians are welcome to keep children in Worship with them for as much, or as little, of worship as they wish and bring their children up to the preschool room and sign them into Nursery Care at any time before or during the Worship service.

Parents/Guardians must escort their children to and from the preschool room, AND sign their children IN and OUT of Nursery Care.

The Nursery opens before Worship to facilitate parent drop-off, and remains open during Worship.  The Nursery Care provider won’t be available to provide universal childcare in the chapel during worship, nor will they be escorting children out of worship up to the Nursery, these responsibilities rest with parents/guardians.

After worship, parents/guardians must sign their children out of the Nursery by 11:30am. Nursery Care may be available for additional church events and congregational meetings, in which case it will be scheduled and communicated in advance of the event for families to plan accordingly.

In keeping with church policy, a congregational volunteer is required to assist in the Nursery with the Nursery Care employee.  Faith Formation Committee manages a 6-8 week rotation of Nursery volunteers, so please reach out or sign-up in Plymouth Hall.

For children 1st grade and up, the play corner in the chapel remains open for quiet, self-directed/parent-directed play during worship. We are unable to provide supervised childcare for children in 1st grade and up during Worship during the summer.

Use of the playground on Sundays will remain unsupervised and therefore its use is at the discretion of parents/guardians.
