During the holidays we were also able to give gift bags to 18 Encompass Preschool families, as well as provide gift cards for many families through the food bank, and those that reached out to the church for extra help. What a blessing!

We would like to thank everyone for their generous support of the Cold Weather drive and The Giving Tree back in November and December! Both programs were well supported and over all the church was able to help a lot of families stay warm this winter and have a nice Christmas! Over 130 coats were given out as well as many gloves, hats, mittens, scarves, and blankets.

As we look ahead, the Mission and Justice Committee has several projects we are working on.

1. We are signed up to provide 50 Power Packs in May for the Weekend Power Pack Program that provides
   supplemental food items weekly for children experiencing food insecurity in our community. We already have
   funding for this, so will be using that to fill these packs.
2. We’ve discussed providing items to food bank families to help occupy kids during the summer, such as coloring
   books, activity books, etc. We need to discuss this more and get a plan in action. Keep an eye out for more
   information on how you can help support this project!
3. We’ve also discussed doing a summertime back-to-school supply collection to support the food bank families
   with these, often costly, school supply needs. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming months!
