Tolt Tidbits

Tolt Tidbits is a weekly email sent out to our members and friends with information about happenings in the church and Snoqualmie Valley which may be of interest to folks.

Tolt Tidbits October 20, 2024

Greetings All! Can you all hear the chorus of amphibians preparing for winter lately? Maybe you saw the Northern Lights or asteroid shower and apparently there’s a very cool Harvest Moon to look for this week.

NEW TOLTUCC REQUESTS & UPDATES

It’s Cold Weather Drive Time!  During October donations of new and gently used laundered items will be collected during office hours or on Sundays during service through November 3rd. See flyer below for more details.

Seeking Help Advancing the Slides: The friendly Tech team is looking for a few more volunteers to occasionally help us with advancing the slides during worship services. Or, if you’re inclined, some other options, depending on what fits your personal interests. You can look over our shoulder on a Sunday to see what it is like. Here are some of the possibilities:

  • Advancing slides from the back of the chapel, just click when it’s time for the next slide.  That’s it, really!
  • Or… Adjust the camera for the live stream from the back of the chapel, click through the preset positions and ensure viewers can follow along at home.
  • Or… Watch the live stream from Plymouth Hall and adjust sound as needed to hear everything clearly.
  • Or… Setup and put away – get out microphones before service and put in fresh batteries, and/or put batteries on charge after and put microphones away.

We will be happy to train you on any one of the above, or any combination of these duties, and hook you up with our flexible schedule.  See Tom, Ted, Caleb, or email us at tech@toltucc.org with any questions, or for more information.   Thank you!
